This year, the campaign centres around the theme of "Depression: treat and defeat !".  Depression can be an extremely isolating experience, but it is now curable till to recovery.

The campaign will serve as a reminder of  how common depression really is, and will focus on giving practical information on what support is out there - and critically, where to find it -  for people affected by depression as well as their friends and family.

The Brussels event will comprise of a presentation and round-table debate with Members of the European Parliament, which will lead to the development of an EDA manifesto for change.

To date, many local events have been organised throughout Europe during all October month.

The European Depression Association has run 7 awareness campaigns since 2004 (please, visit the "Past events section" in this web site). Each year the campaign grows in popularity and impact with impressive media coverage  and excellent representation at local events.
